Hi, I am Dexter! Ever since I was little I have been very passionate about three things: video games, music and Lego. From the discovery of the 2005 release of Lego Star Wars: The Video Game, my life was changed. The way Lego came to action on the screen, the wide appeal, and the witty retelling of the Star Wars films I grew up loving had me in awe, wanting more, and most importantly inspired. I knew working on video games is what I had to do. Since elementary school I have toyed with various aspects of game development through Roblox, LUA, Multimedia Fusion 2, Maya, Photoshop, and Unreal either by self discovery or summers at iD Tech.
Originally I was heavily invested in texturing and 3D modeling, however that changed come senior year of high school where I discovered the excitement of programming in Unity with C#. Along with the electives at Becker College I also fell in love with music composition and DAWs such as ProTools, Ableton Live, Reaktor, and Massive. Now my favorite thing is merging the skills of programming and audio for audio implementation, because I personally find it exciting during development when each new sound and song is added to the game. Being able to observe how they dramatically shape and define the tone, character, and life of the game is truly a phenomenon in my eyes.
